2010 Disability Awareness Expo

This years Expo is to be held at the Beenleigh Events Centre, Beenleigh, Queensland, on 15th September 2010

The event will be organised with the assistance of the Logan Disability Coalition which is a network group made up of disability service providers with the aim of improving services for people with disabilities by encouraging collaboration amongst service providers in Logan.

This event will be a free, one day, Logan specific expo style event which will include:
* Stalls held by different service providers in Logan to provide basic information on what they can offer
* Workshops providing valuable information for people with disabilities, such as tips on working with Centrelink, navigating Disability Services, and getting involved in work.
* Entertainment
* Hands on activities including art workshops and opportunities to trial adaptive equipment.
* a "Have your say" booth where community members will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, ideas and suggestions for improvedment relating to living with a disability in Logan.
